One-of-a-kind Specimens

This category consists of exceptionally unique specimens that we felt deserved their own category. When you see these plants in the wild, they often look much different than we are used to seeing in cultivation. Many are almost unrecognizable, contorted and sand-blasted from the blistering sun and howling winds often present in the harsh deserts that many of these plants originate from. Much like the "Ugly Dog Contest", many collectors find an artistic fascination in displaying these plants in their natural form. All plants here are 100% grown in cultivation, not taken from the wild, but grown "hard" in intense sun, small pots, and given minimal water for many years in an attempt to replicate the natural growing habits. If you like strange and unusual, you will find a plant for you here!
