Store Policies
Botanic Wonders is a California certified licensed nursery. This means we are inspected by the state of California and certified free of plant pests and diseases. We currently ship only in the continental United States. We do not ship internationally at this time. Many states require Phytosanitary certificates for plants entering into their territory. This means that plants leaving our nursery must be inspected by a state inspector and, certified being free of diseases and pests. To add this fee to your order you will need to add a Phytosanitary Certificate to your shopping cart. We will contact you if your state requires this certificate.
All plant orders will be shipped by either the USPS or UPS. We use USPS Priority mail for plant material. In some cases, especially for larger plants, we will use UPS since the cost is less for larger boxes. We will attempt to ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders will be shipped on Mondays to ensure that shipments will not be held over on weekends in cold / hot trucks or warehouses.
Most plants will be shipped bare root. This is a proven efficient shipping method for most plants. It also reduces the risk of spreading soil borne diseases and pests. After being bare rooted the plant roots will be either coved with a damp paper towel or sphagnum moss and finally aluminum foil. This helps to keep a humid environment around the roots during shipping. The plant will then be rolled in a paper cone for additional protection and labeled. Additional packaging material will be added as needed to ensure safe arrival of your plants. Larger plants may need to have foliage trimmed. If you do not want your plant trimmed let us know in the "Special Instructions" box on the last page of the shopping cart checkout.
Be prepared for your shipment! Don't wait for your shipment to arrive without having pots and proper soil for your new plants. Plants should be potted up immediately and watered-in. If you are not sure what type of environmental conditions your new plant requires, contact us! We will respond quickly to your inquiry.
If there are any problems or damage to your shipment let us know immediately. We will start the process to resolve any problems quickly and to your satisfaction.
